Summer Morning Boy | Greenville, SC & Anderson SC Children’s Photographer

Thursday, June 23rd, 2011

I couldn’t wait to get to this morning’s summer session. Not only because it was it a sweet 1 year old, but his Mom, her family and I, go way back. They called for a session, and the voice on the other end of the line sounded familiar. We put two and two together and quickly realized we knew each other. (I love it when this happens!) We probably have not seen each other in at least 8 years, so I could not wait to catch up. A lot has changed for them… but the best change is welcoming this handsome little guy to their family a year ago.

We met at the family farm, which was the perfect spot for this 1 year old’s energy/inquisitive nature and a child photographer’s eye. Of course, the perfect spot calls for a REAL John Deere Tractor- cleaned up and repaired just for him.

We were not planning on running into any cows on this farm, until he decided to bring his along.

Which I think is kinda cute!

But my favorite part of the day was when we found shade under some beautiful apple trees. That’s where this summer morning boy looked as handsome as ever.

And oh, were those apples good:) Happy first Birthday Jeremy! May this summer be sweet to you!

P.S. I think he will be walking soon!

Tonight as I am working on this weeks edits, I come across this sweet face. I am reminded how incredibly thankful I am to get to watch little ones as adorable as this one grow up. I love seeing this guy every 3 months and am so blessed that his parents trust me to capture him at the different stages of life.

Know that I want to help you capture your child throughout their lives. Call me if you would like to set up quarterly mini sessions. It’s totally worth it:)

Rain Check Please | Greenville SC & Anderson SC Family and Children’s Photographer

Thursday, June 16th, 2011

I had been looking forward to today’s session for weeks now. You see, connecting for a session was not easy for any of us and when we finally were able to confirm a date, we got all excited. I mean, what could go wrong right? I was getting to photograph a beautiful family who from what I had been told were tons of fun. Well, 20 minutes into our session, this is what went wrong…

I mean can you believe it? Needless to say, a rain check was in order and we will be connecting to finish our session really soon. But I have to say, the few short minutes we were together, I got some great shots of this sweet sweet family. The crazy thing is that most of these shots are just minutes before the sky turned all kinds of colors. Seriously, don’t they look like a sweet and fun family.

And this guy is quite a character. His name is Jay and he kept me laughing for sure. I am confident when I finish the session- we will have TONS of personality plus photos.

Then there is sweet Carter- who had a quiet and sweet spirit to match her beautiful face.

And together, they were quite a pair. Definitely brother an sister… with lots of love, laughter and life to give.

That last pic is my favorite. I just smile when I see that “don’t you kiss me” face. Hopefully, our rain check session will be filled with beautiful light, to compliment this amazing family. If not, I think a session with rain boots and umbrellas will be in order. Now that would be fun!

Um, wait for it… | Greenville, SC & Anderson SC Newborn Photographer

Wednesday, June 15th, 2011

So you may think I am totally crazy when you read my next statement but every bit of it is true.

Sometimes, I think waiting for my newborn clients to be born is as hard for me as it is for their parents! I get giddy when I think about getting to meet them for the first time. There is nothing greater than to have the opportunity to capture every bit of their sweetness in the first two weeks of their life.

Many of these itty bitty little ones that I photograph are on my books for 4-6 months before they’re born which makes the the anticipation even greater for me. As was the case for this little guy named Kuy.

I know… super adorable right? Well, I could make you “wait” to see more from our session but I know the anticipation is much too great.

Oh, and wait for it…

I have a feeling that many others couldn’t wait to get their hands on this “Sweet Little Kuy”. This is Robin’s first Grandbaby

And like mother, like daughter, both are smitten with every ounce of him.

I have a feeling that these amazing grandparents have a lot of love and fun in store for him.

And “Little Kuy” even has this awesome uncle to teach him lots of things that little boys do.

But most importantly, he has a beautiful Mom and incredible Dad to do life with. I think they would tell you that Kuy was worth the wait.

One last one for you to ooh and ahh over.

Perfection!

He’s a big boy now | Anderson, SC Children’s & Family Photographer

Sunday, June 12th, 2011

A little over 6 months ago, I met this little boy for the first time. It was for his 6 month old session and snow covered the ground. This morning we met up under completely different weather conditions. 88 degrees at 9 am and he is scooting on his toosh everywhere. Although a lot has changed in the last 6 months, one thing is for sure… he is still hands down one of the sweet little faces I know.

He is turning 1…and that means that he’s a big boy now!

But for now, I am sure his sweet parents are hanging on to every bit of baby that is in him. But wouldn’t you?

Happy first birthday sweet James. Sugar Snap loves you!
