Behind this book is one of the sweetest and energetic 2 year olds that I know.

He is serious about his trains

His best friends are Buzz Lightyear and Woody.

And he always has his firetruck ready…just in case we need him for the rescue.

He is full of fun

Big on adventure

And full of life.

Hanging out with him is great exercise. Oh to be 2 again!

Little Stud | Anderson, SC Children’s & Family Photographer

Tuesday, February 15th, 2011

I have to tell you that I was warned prior to this shoot that I was going to be taking pictures of one of the most handsome little boys in the world.  So it was perfect that we booked this session on the one day of the year that hearts are stolen all over the world. Because this little boy had me at hello.

As I took pictures of him, I had to keep telling him that he was such a little stud.

He was so full of life and energy, and his personality kept me laughing. He was quite the charmer.

He told me about his Valentine’s Day party that he had to rush off to after the session. Then I gave him a rose because you can’t have a Valentine session without a red rose right?

I told him he could give the rose to one of his girlfriends at the party. He then let me know that he had 1,300 girlfriends and 1 rose just would not do.

So he chose to give the rose to the lady in his life that mattered most…

His sweet mommy :)

Who could blame him? A pretty mommy deserves a pretty rose.

Sweetness is Priceless | Anderson & Greenville, SC Children’s Photographer

Thursday, February 10th, 2011

I am a little short for blog words today, because of sweetness overload.

Spending time with this little one, was the perfect way to spend my Wednesday afternoon. Don’t you love an afternoon story?

Especially from someone so cute. She was an excellent storyteller, and she rocked at Peek a boo too.

Actually she was a photographer’s dream of a little girl. She laughed, smiled, made sweet faces… you name it.  But just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, she gave me this.

Just in case you didn’t know, when us photographers get a shot we LOVE, we call it a money shot.

She understood that well when she decided to take out mom’s wallet. (giggle)

I wouldn’t have traded my time with her today. Not even for all the money in the world. Thanks K, for being so much fun. I hope you had fun too:)

Beautiful Life | Anderson & Greenville, SC Life Birth Photographer

Friday, February 4th, 2011

Just a a couple weeks ago, my alarm went off at a hour that I don’t even want to say. 4:30 am is not the time I normally wake, but on this particular day, I bounced out of bed as if I had slept for 12 hours. It was the day that I was officially photographing my very first Life Beginnings Session, and I was beyond ecstatic.

For the past year, this is something I wanted to do. I only wished I had a photographer with me at the hospital when I had my little boy. Think about it this way, you spend a lot of money for a photographer on your wedding day, to make sure every moment is captured of the day you marry the one you love most. Why would you not want to have someone capture the moment you lay your eyes on your child for the very first time.

That is exactly what this beautiful family did. I had the privilege of documenting the day that Lucy Nora Barbee was born. All 8 lbs 5 oz of her. January 14, 2011 was the day that we welcomed new life into this world (8:48 am to be exact). Nora was delivered by cesarean and is a beautiful and healthy little girl.

It is a honor to share with you, some of the pictures of this “little” life beginning. A beautiful family, a beautiful girl, a beautiful life. Enjoy.

Life is sweet, isn’t it?
