Stunning Children | Greenville, SC Children’s Photography

Sunday, September 26th, 2010

I could not resist posting a couple pics of these stunning children just hours after having photographed them. Their family drove all the way from Camden, SC to have a creative session with us today. I love these shots. We actually were shooting next door to this empty garage and I had no intention of even shooting where these were captured. Surprisingly,  the dark shadows mixed with beautiful lighting from the front, made for some amazing shots. I will share some more of from our session later this week. I love it when I learn on a shoot. It makes me love what I do even more.

This Kid Rocks | Greenville, SC Child Photographer

Saturday, September 25th, 2010

Yesterday, I had a creative session with this talented little guy from Tennessee.  This kid has what it takes to steal the hearts of every little girl by the strum of his guitar. (He told me he had a girlfriend btw)

Not only did he entertain me with a few “rock” songs? He also, showed me his “rock” collection

If I had a record label, I’d sign him. Wouldn’t you?

This little boy is nothing but smiles

It seems like yesterday that the only pics we could capture of him was lying down, and now he is crawling

Oh and watch out, cause he is driving too! A little red convertable

There is no sweeter thing that has drove into my life than he

Beautiful Family | Anderson, SC Children’s Photography and Family Photographer

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

I love it when I get to spend time with a family and I get a glimpse of what a loving, happy family they are. I know right? You see it too- it’s all over their faces.

Throughout our session I watched the amazing mom whisper words of encouragement to this 3 year old.

He is a very curious kid, who kept all of us on our toes. But his energy and his charisma got us pictures like this…

And then there is this little one. I have to say I believe she has the most beautiful brown eyes.

She sang me the little tune “Brown Eyed Girl”. I say she will share the gift of music one day with so many people.

Reason I think that is because it runs in the family. Wouldn’t you agree that they need a cute little lady like her singing some melody?

Whatever it may be that’s in store for these little ones, I am confident it will be a very sweet journey. One that is filled with love, giftedness, and experienced in a fantastic way. Thanks Barbee family for sharing your family with me. Enjoy your sneak peeks.

Sweet Love | Anderson, South Carolina Engagement Photographer & Upstate, SC Bridal Photography

Sunday, September 12th, 2010

I absolutely love shooting at places I have never been. I was so excited when Jenny and Bill said they wanted to use White Provision in Atlanta as the backdrop for their engagement session. The modern yet vintage feel was the perfect setting for their session.

I have known Jenny for many years and I can’t believe she is all grown up and getting married. This was the first time I have ever met her fiance Bill, and from the look on her face you can see she is IN LOVE!

In fact, they are so in love that they documented it in chalk writing. What a fun way to tell a story.

I don’t dare leave out this little energetic young lady, Eden. With her in the mix, this little family is in for some fun!

Can life get any sweeter?

Some of you may not know that I “dwelled” in NYC for a while and that city holds a special place in my heart. I miss that city- sitting at my favorite coffee shop on a beautiful fall morning, the rumble of the subway train and the little shops that I adored visiting in my neighborhood. All those things give Manhattan a personality like none other. What you may not know or even understand is that while many things make up NYC, nothing is more special than the people who were a part of my life there. It really is those people who were a part of my life that give me the “I miss that city” syndrome.

When I moved to NYC, this family made me a part of their family. (Although the little ones were not around yet)
So you can imagine how happy I am that they now live in the beautiful NC mountains, only 3 hours from where I live.

This little girl was the flower girl in my wedding and it has been so much fun watching her grow. She is a city girl at heart, but thriving in this new little town of Blowing Rock. She has gone from ballet class in NYC to the soccer field under the mountaintops.

I remember the day this little boy was born. It was a very cold December morning and snow covered the ground. I can still remember taking the subway uptown to say hello to one of the sweetest little faces in the world. I wonder what this winter holds for him in the snowy mountain tops? I bet this year’s snowman will be the best!

And I can’t resist this photo of Little E. So curious.

Thank you for making me a part of your family. Thank you for the example you show, the love you give, and the giftedness you share. I love you guys so much.

I wonder what she will be like? | Anderson, SC Baby Photographer

Saturday, September 4th, 2010

I wonder what this little girl will be when she grows up? I predict she will be a lot like her beautiful mommy, whom has been one my best friend’s since middle school.

And I wonder who her best friends will be? I wonder if any of them will have a smile like her?

I love watching my dearest of friend be the mommy that lights up these eyes…

And I love that her face is  full of wonder that is meant to light up mommy’s eyes as well.

I love you Ru and Lil.

Each day, as I am booking a new sessions, I am always asked “What should we wear”? So, over the next couple weeks, I will be posting examples of colors, textures and outfits that will make your photos pop. Now, I don’t claim to be a fashion expert, but I am confident that these blog posts will make a difference for you, as you are preparing for your session. So, tonight I want to start with those little girls. Outside of lace, tutus, and girly girly accesories, here are a few examples of how to create a unique and colorful outfit. PS. Even though it is not pictured, I can’t fail to mention tutus, hats, rain boots, leg warmers, etc. for these little ones as well.

Could it get any sweeter? Yes…Billboard is up | Children’s Photography Anderson, SC & Greenville, SC

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

So we have waited a couple months, knowing that this day would come. We decided to invest in our first billboard on HWY 81 in Anderson. It was so fun watching this go up earlier this evening.

It was so strange pulling out and seeing this cutie all big and adorable. The best part is our location, THE SWEETERY parking lot. Now, if you have never had the opportunity to savor a bite of cake from The Sweetery, then you are missing out. It is the best dessert place in Anderson. Their cakes are amazing.

We think our location could not be “sweeter”! I mean where else would you want to see a sweet little boy on a Sugar Snap Promo than at the best bakery in town. Sweet huh?
